Please start the cmd.exe in administrative mode!
See the Windows-8 FAQ-7 In then cmd.exe, execute "control userpasswords2" (execute= Press [ENTER]) (Picture-1).
Please select the Use for Autologin in Windows-8!

Uncheck the checkbox:
"Users has to enter a user name and password to use this computer"
and then klick "Apply"

How to automatically repair Windows 8 using Automatic Repair

Windows 8 includes a recovery feature called Automatic Repair that attempts to automatically diagnose and fix common issues that may cause Windows 8 to not start properly.  Automatic Repair will start automatically when Windows is unable to start properly. Once started, it will scan various settings, configuration options, and system files for corrupt files and settings.  If it detects anything, it will automatically attempt to fix them for you.
To access Automatic Repair in the Windows Recovery Environment you need to go to the Windows 8 Start Screen and type Advanced. When the search results appear click on the Settings category as shown below.

Now click on the option labeled Advanced startup options and you will be brought to the General PC Settings screen. Scroll down to the bottom until you see an option labeled Advanced startup. Click on the Restart now button and Windows 8 will restart your computer and go directly into the Advanced Startup options menu.

Now click on the Troubleshoot button and then the Advanced options button. When the advanced options screen opens, click on the Automatic Repair option. Your computer will now reboot and you will then be shown a screen where Windows states it is preparing Automatic Repair. When it is done, you will be shown a screen where you need to select an Administrator account that you wish to login with.

Please click on the account you wish to use. If your account has a password on it, you will be required to enter it and then click on the Continue button to continue with the automatic repair. Automatic will now start and attempt to diagnose the problem with your computer.

The automatic repair process can take a quite a while, so please be patient while Automatic Repair attempts to find a repair startup problems in Windows 8. During this process your computer may reboot. This is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. Once the automatic repair process has completed it will tell if you if it was able to repair anything. If it was not able to repair anything you will be shown a prompt asking if you wish to shutdown or use some other tools.

At this point, if your computer is still unable to start up, you should you click on the Advanced options button, followed by Troubleshoot, and finally Advanced options. 1) Try to un-install and re-install the app/program


2) Switched to local account and switched back to Microsoft account and then tried to run the app. (Go to desktop, press alt key + F4, select”switch users”.)

How does SkyDrive work with Windows 8?

So an obvious change to computing, that you have most likely noticed in the past 2 years, is cloud computing. If you don't know what cloud computing is (which you should if you're using Windows8 ) here is a brief overview.

It basically is the concept of storing all of your data, instead of on a local hard drive, on a server somewhere in a server farm owned by some company.

This essentially makes it easier to access, manage, and backup all of the files that you would have needed a specific computer to access in the past.

Microsoft's SkyDrive is one of the many services (like Google Docs, Dropbox, or Zoho) that allows you to store you files for free, and it is being integrated with Windows 8 more than it has with any other version of Windows before.

If you have used Windows 8 on your own device, you should have noticed the clouds influence on Windows 8 as soon as you were setting it up for the first time. Windows prompts you to either sign in using a current Microsoft account, or register for a new one. This allows your device to be ready for syncing with the cloud once you have it authorized.

This also hooks you into the wonderful world of SkyDrive. Right on your Metro Start Screen you will see that SkyDrive has its own tile. If you click (tap) on it it will give you direct access to all of your stored files. When files are clicked, naturally Windows 8 opens the corrects app that is associated with that file type.

There are some differences with file opening in Windows 8, by the way. First off, there are some new programs Microsoft has silently packaged in that expand filetype readability.

One example is Microsoft Reader that reads PDF documents. (I'm guessing that this app will be a little more secure and less annoying that any of the PDF readers made by Adobe.)

Also, if there aren't any apps installed that are associated with the selected file type, Windows will allow you to search the App Store, which is a lot more convenient than searching the entire internet as Windows has suggested in the past.

What is Windows 8

The next major release for the Microsoft Windows operating system, Windows 8 is expected to make its debut in the first half of 2012.
